New Land Steward Hired!

September 26, 2022

Madison Parker recently graduated from Ohio University with a degree in marine, freshwater, and environmental biology. During her time at Ohio, she worked in the Morris Fish Lab studying the impacts of nitrate on fish behavior.

Originally from Napoleon, Ohio, Madison has been a seasonal resident of Clear Lake for 21 years and has recently moved to the area full time. She has volunteered with the Conservancy to complete water quality testing and easement monitoring in the past.

In her free time, she enjoys wakeboarding and table tennis as well as painting. In addition to her work at the Conservancy, Madison is a camp counselor at 4-H Camp Palmer located in Fayette, Ohio. There she enjoys educating campers about the local ecosystem by introducing them to native amphibians and reptiles. She also helps campers conquer the high ropes course during their stay at camp.

Madison is very excited to be working with the Conservancy in this role and is looking forward to increasing her knowledge of land stewardship and the community.
