As we wrap up 2024, we feel incredibly grateful for the support you provided through Giving Tuesday, Year-end giving, and our New Donor Match. Your generosity drives our mission, enabling us to complete our 2024 projects and lay a strong foundation to kickstart our 2025 work.

Your contributions help us protect and preserve 145 acres of land in the Clear Lake Township. In 2025, we will tackle various exciting land stewardship projects at Clear Lake Nature Preserve, South Bridge Preserve, Spangler Grove, and Waterfield Preserve alongside continued invasive species control and conservation efforts across all 19 properties. We expect the list of memorial plaques to expand at Memorial Woods as our community honors the Clear Lake connections held close to heart.

Thanks to generous donations and funds from the Midwest Glacial Lakes Partnership Grant, we’ve prepared for another year of the Watershed Diagnostic Study. This ongoing research gathers consistent data to better understand water quality and movement of water across our landscape. We continue using this research to make informed decisions about water preservation and conservation to protect the 830 combined acres of Clear and Round Lakes.

We’re also planning another year of educational programs and volunteer events that encourage personal connections and environmental preservation within our community. Keep an eye out for upcoming dates of Knee-high Naturalists, Neighborhood Cleanup, guided preserve hikes, and more!

We proudly celebrate our 17 Legacy Society Members as the Legacy Society Bequest Challenge comes to an end. We thank each member for the lasting legacy they will leave on our Clear Lake environment as well as the Bequest Challenge anonymous sponsor for their generosity. To learn more or join the Legacy Society, contact Caroline at director@clearlakeconservancy.org.
