Celebrating National Volunteer Week

The Clear Lake Township Land Conservancy values our volunteers who dedicate so much of their time and expertise helping to accomplish our goals. Recently, Clear Lake Township resident John Wilhelm brainstormed a rustic sign on the trailhead kiosk welcoming visitors to Clear Lake Nature Preserve. This “front door” as John lovingly refers to the kiosk, was installed in 2021 in memory of John’s late wife, Nancy Wilhelm.
The natural wood sign reading “Clear Lake Nature Preserve” was locally sourced and engraved. John himself completed the final touches of varnishing the sign to protect it from the elements and hanging the sign above the informational kiosk.
